CTRM is a phrase that refers to specialised trade and risk management software for companies involved in commodity trading. The acronym stands for Commodity Trade and Risk Management. Commodity traders, processors, and buyers use this software to help them with the various business operations involved in commodity trading. Deal capture for physical contracts, commodities derivatives, and currencies, as well as logistics and financial settlement processes, is supported by CTRM software, and so are risk management, logistics, and financial management processes.

CTRM is a time-saving and cost-effective solution for trading companies and commodity processors to operate and control their day-to-day business operations. CTRM is built to deal with diversity since commodities are traded in a variety of markets and currencies, and their monetary and trading values vary depending on the environment. CTRM systems are intended to replace spreadsheets and legacy platforms that were designed for a past era and were not designed to handle the complexities of today's markets. CTRM solutions are designed to make commodity business administration more efficient and lucrative by providing a single system to monitor and perform duties for the front, middle, and back-office employees.

CTRM software platforms specialise in one commodity or commodity type in some circumstances, while others can handle numerous commodities. Some may be focused on a specific country or region, while others may be global. Whether a company deals in crude oil, natural gas, coal, refined products, power, chemicals, cereals, or metals, a CTRM has features that far outnumber competitor product lines.

opsPhlo is used by global customers which are trading companies and commodity processors in various functions like accounting, contracts, distribution, finance, inventory, farming operations, trade documents, and more. opsPhlo is a one-stop solution for traders as it enables enterprises and trading firms to manage a wide range of commodities across various industries with ease as it is well integrated with all the functionalities that any ERP or CTRM provides.

Most of the other CTRMs are integrated with other third-party ERPs and many times it does not function smoothly as the tech stack of both CTRM and ERP are different. The integration is too complex, time-consuming, and costly which brings up the cost of the tool. On the other hand, opsPhlo is a speedy, cost-effective tool as it is well equipped to function smoothly under all such circumstances.
